With her background as German qualified lawyer and over a decade of experience as a broker specializing in Warranty & Indemnity (W&I) insurance, Nikola stands out as the most seasoned broker in the German M&A insurance market and has played a key role in developing M&A insurance in continental Europe.
Before founding Pollux, Nikola served as Managing Director at Deloitte Broker & Advisory GmbH and Head of Transaction Solutions at AON, where she established and led the M&A insurance Teams for several years. Prior to that, she gained substantial market knowledge as a senior M&A insurance broker with Marsh’s UK and German teams during the early days of M&A insurance.
With over 20 years of experience inn prominent international law firms, including Mayer Brown, King & Wood Mallesons, SJ Berwin, P+P Pöllath + Partners and Willkie Farr & Gallagher, thereof 10 years as partner for leading private equity and corporate transactions, Birgit has developed a comprehensive understanding of client’s needs.
Besides utilizing M&A insurance policies for her clients, Birgit has over 10 years of experience as underwriting counsel with various insurers and managing agencies, including AIG, Liberty, Zurich, Dual, and Amaniki.
Since 2022, Birgit has transitioned to the broking side, where she served as General Counsel for Deloitte Broker & Advisory GmbH, further broadening her expertise.
